Terms and Conditions Pictou Cleaning Co

1. Definitions
“Company” – refers to Pictou Cleaning Co.
“Cleaner” – refers to any employee, contractor, or representative authorized by the Company to perform cleaning services.
“Client” – refers to any individual, household, or business requesting or receiving services from the Company.
“Service” – refers to any cleaning service provided by the Company including but not limited to residential cleaning, commercial cleaning, deep cleaning, move-in/move-out cleaning, after-party cleaning, and post-construction cleaning.
“Cleaning Visit” – refers to a scheduled visit to the Client’s location to perform the requested cleaning service.
2. Service Agreement
2.1. These Terms and Conditions form a service agreement between Pictou Cleaning Co and the Client.
2.2. Booking services via phone, email, social media, or the website constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
2.3. The Company reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service if safety concerns arise.
2.4. The Company maintains a minimum service charge equivalent to 2 hours per cleaning visit unless otherwise agreed.
3. Payment Terms
3.1. The Client agrees to pay the quoted price for all services requested.
3.2. Payment may be made via:

Credit or Debit Card

Cash (if previously agreed)
3.3. Payment is due:

Immediately after service for one-time cleanings

Within 7 days of invoice for approved recurring or commercial accounts.
3.4. Late payments may incur additional charges or suspension of services.
3.5. Quotes provided by the Company are valid for 30 days.
3.6. Additional services not included in the original quote will be billed separately.
3.7. Service prices may be reviewed annually to reflect inflation, wage increases, or operating costs.
4. Cleaning Supplies and Equipment
4.1. The Company typically provides all cleaning supplies and equipment necessary for the job.
4.2. If the Client requests the use of their own equipment or products, they must be:

In proper working condition.
4.3. The Company cannot be held liable for damages or results caused by faulty or unsuitable equipment provided by the Client.
5. Service Priorities
5.1. Clients may provide a priority checklist for cleaning tasks.
5.2. Cleaners will complete as many tasks as possible within the booked service time.
5.3. Additional time may be required for heavily soiled or neglected areas.
6. Satisfaction Guarantee
6.1. If the Client is not satisfied with any part of the service, they must notify the Company within 24 hours of the cleaning visit.
6.2. The Company will return to re-clean the reported areas at no additional charge.
6.3. Refunds are not provided once services are completed, except in exceptional circumstances approved by the Company.
7. Cancellations and Rescheduling
7.1. Clients must provide at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule a cleaning appointment.
7.2. If cancellation occurs less than 24 hours before the appointment, the Client may be charged up to the full cleaning fee.
7.3. The Client must ensure the Cleaner has access to the property at the scheduled time.
7.4. If access is not provided, the appointment may be considered a late cancellation.
8. Service Changes or Termination
8.1. Recurring services may be cancelled by either party with 30 days written notice.
8.2. The Company reserves the right to terminate services if:

Payment is repeatedly late

Unsafe conditions exist

Harassment or inappropriate behavior occurs.
9. Damage and Claims
9.1. The Company maintains liability insurance.
9.2. Any damage believed to have been caused during service must be reported within 24 hours.
9.3. The Company will inspect the issue and may:

Replace the item

Provide reasonable compensation.
9.4. The Company is not responsible for damage resulting from:

Pre-existing wear and tear

Improper installation

Faulty fixtures

Fragile or unsecured items.
9.5. Clients are encouraged to secure valuable or irreplaceable items before the cleaning visit.
10. Complaints
10.1. Customer satisfaction is extremely important to Pictou Cleaning Co.
10.2. Any concerns should be reported promptly via:

10.3. The Company will work to resolve complaints quickly and professionally.
11. Liability Limitations
11.1. The Company is not responsible for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control including:

Severe weather

Traffic

Emergencies

Equipment failure.
11.2. The Company is not responsible for cleaning results when:

There is no running water

There is no electricity
-
Access is restricted.

12. Additional Terms
12.1. Cleaning time estimates are approximate and may vary depending on property condition.
12.2. Deep cleaning, post-construction cleaning, and after-event cleaning may require additional time and cost.
12.3. The Company reserves the right to adjust pricing if the property condition differs significantly from the initial description.
12.4. Fragile items should be secured prior to the cleaning appointment.
12.5. The Company may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated terms will be posted on pictoucleaning.ca.
